Summary
Baseline equipment configuration for general VTF deployment. The Standard Deployment Kit establishes a common preparation framework while allowing individual equipment selections to be adapted to the operational objective.
Purpose
The Standard Deployment Kit provides the baseline framework for preparing personnel for deployment. It is not a fixed equipment list. Operational requirements vary by mission, environment and available resources. Personnel are therefore expected to configure their equipment according to the task while maintaining the core requirements established by LOG.
Kit Components
Mission Equipment
Equipment directly supporting the primary operational objective.
Sustainment
Resources required to remain operational throughout the deployment.
Communications
Equipment and systems required to maintain contact with the team and receive operational information.
Contingency
Additional resources retained for situations in which the original plan changes.
Configuration Principle
"Configure for the mission. Preserve flexibility. Do not carry equipment without purpose." The Standard Deployment Kit is a framework rather than a prescribed loadout. Personnel should review the configuration before every deployment and remove unnecessary equipment where doing so improves operational flexibility.
Logistics Note
Standardisation exists to reduce preparation errors, not to eliminate individual judgement.
